Common Questions

QUESTION:
What should I do? Someone either has been or likely will be arrested.

ANSWER:

  1.  Be polite, be respectful and allow the police to do their job without giving them headaches or trying to have a friendly conversation.
  2. Do not resist - it will be entered into the police report and it will make you look guilty even if you're not.
  3. DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE; give them your name, your driver's license or I.D. upon request and politely tell them that you will not be answering any further questions without your attorney present. Stick to that. No matter what happens - no matter what they say or do JUST BE SILENT.
  4. CALL US ON THE PHONE RIGHT NOW!

QUESTION:
How long before I hear from you? I just filled out and sent the contact form and now I'm waiting by the phone.

ANSWER: Keep your phone nearby so we're not playing "phone tag," but try to get some sleep. We usually respond to all new contacts within two business days, either by telephone or email. If you have an emergency, you should call us at (863) 537-3777.

QUESTION:
Will you take my case on commission? I have little or no money today.

ANSWER:
Some cases we will take on commission and some cases we won't. After consulting with you and taking a few days to do some research and consider the details of your case, we will tell you if we can take it on a commission basis or not. Don't be discouraged, even if we do not offer you that option, we may still be willing to take your case and in that event, we will offer you other payment options. Also, just because we don't take your case doesn't mean you don't have a case - it might just be that we're too busy at the time. One way or the other, we will tell you if we think you have a case or not.
